Yeti is the Asian counterpart of the famous American Bigfoot. There is no clue whether it is an animal,a man like creature or an alien, the only good that scientists have done about is by classifying it as Cryptid.
Cryptids are basically those animals that are believed to exist but till now haven't been classified into any specie type due to the lack of scientific evidence in doing so. American Bigfoot is a similar Cryptid that is believed to exist in the Northern forests of U.S.A.
Yeti so far has been a real mystery because most of the reports about its sightings were similar that allowed scientists to at least make a picture of how it would look like. All these sightings have made scientists to research this creature in different eras and each time a research is done it ends up in nothing but lack of evidence to say any thing.
Yeti is supposed to have white body with long hair covering it completely. It is believed to tread in the extreme mountainous areas of the Himalayas where only few dare to wander. The Yeti story emerged in the early 19th century but what locals say is that they have been hearing about this mysterious creature from quite a long time.
It is hard to say what is true and no one can believe any one saying that he has seen a Yeti as we have no proper evidence so far.
