Diamonds are considered to be the most precious of all gemstones and by all means, they are really the most precious gemstones. When we take any standards into account that are set for all gemstones to certify their preciousness, diamonds are usually ahead in most cases.
There are some precious gemstones most notably emerald and the other being ruby and blue sapphire which can actually get more precious the diamonds but there are many quality determining factors that must be taken into account before judging any stone’s price tag.
Diamonds have a standard 4C method which determines the price tag of single large piece or many smaller ones sold in packets. Some are sold in raw packets without certification but for getting actual diamond it is always good to get a certified one. This however can greatly increase the price of diamond.
Diamonds have remarkable properties they are the hardest natural substance discovered they cannot be scratched by any material however they themselves can scratch anything. Diamonds have a high melting point and are good insulators.
Diamond have many natural impurities with in them and it is hard to find flawless diamonds however these are still there with in earth's crust and when such pieces are unearthed they are of remarkable value.
Diamonds are not shiny right from the beginning, they are cut into something that is acceptable as jewelry stone other wise it hardness is put to good use as a cutting tool.
